Project application

The Hanze University Foundation supports institutions and individuals who are involved in tertiary education in developing countries where Hanze UAS is active.

Activities eligible for financial assistance should be demand-driven, which means that a specific question from a developing country will have to be defined and submitted as a project proposal by the recipient organization. A successful application must meet certain criteria (see below). To apply, please use the form for institutions or individuals.

The primary requirement for all projects and activities is that funds should benefit the recipient party. This means that travel, accommodation and salary costs for staff and students at Hanze UAS cannot be supported by the Hanze University Foundation. They will have to find other sources for financing those costs.

Institutions can apply for funds if the following main criteria will be met:

  • Related to vocational or professional education
  • Specific defined project objectives
  • Clearly described application, including the expected results, budget and planning
  • Demand driven
  • Reliable recipient’s organisation
  • Guaranteed sustainability in project result

And further criteria which can be of influence:

  • In geographical region where Hanze University Groningen is active
  • Related to study programmes offered by Hanze University Groningen
  • Participating of other sponsors in project
  • Related to the UN Sustainable Development Goals

Individuals can apply for a scholarship if the following main criteria will be met:

  • Related to vocational or professional education
  • Specific defined study objectives (e.g. degree, duration of study programme, etc)
  • Clearly described application, including the expected study results, budget and planning
  • Own financial contribution to required budget
  • Clearly described position to be strived for
