The Hanze University Foundation organized fundraisers to support partner institutions to deal with the economic consequences of the corona pandemic.
Back on Track scholarships
For many students in developing countries it was not a given to return back to school. Not because of a lockdown or health reasons, but because of the economic consequences of the corona measures. During the lockdown the reserved funds for tuition fee has been spent to support basic needs of familymembers and there is little to no money left to return back to school in September.
To support our partner education institutions, their staff members and students, we offered Back on Track scholarships. Two applications have been awarded so far: to the North Coast Medical Training College in Kenya (14 students) and to TSiBA Business School in South Africa (internet bundles to follow online classes).
The scholarships will be offered to students who have already started in the last 2 years and who will be missing out on the opportunity to graduate and finalize their diploma/degree.
