The firm Eekels from Kolham has won the TBI innovation award 2013 with an ingenious technical innovation. The prize was linked to an amount of money that could be donated to a good cause. Eekels has chosen to donate this amount to the Hanze University Foundation. The money will be used to install a solar energy system on the North Coast Medical Training College campus in Mombasa, Kenya.
