SAIDIA is a foundation set up by students from Hanze University of Applied Sciences who are committed to helping their peers in developing countries. Through sponsorship campaigns they raise money to allow students to study for a semester at Hanze University of Applied Sciences. As soon as sufficient funds have been raised, a student is selected and care is taken to ensure that he or she is cared for and guided during his or her study period in the Netherlands. The Foundation supports this initiative to give even more students the opportunity to come to Groningen for a semester.

From February to July 2012, Michael Nolly did his exchange semester at the Institute of Business Administration. He took part in the minor 'International Challenge in Real Estate'. After completing his studies, he returned to Ghana to put what he had learned into practice.
