“I like to help pay for my school fees with a part-time job”

Swalha is a third year, female, diploma in emergency and trauma student at North Coast Medical Training College in Kenya. Her parents are business people and normally their various businesses raise enough money for the family. Swalha herself would contribute through doing some part-time jobs like online marketing. She academically performs above average and has good social relationships and dedication to her studies. Since COVID-19 measures invoked restrictions on movement, business and mass-gatherings, their parents businesses have been seriously affected and they even struggled to raise funds to feed the family. Also, she has not been able to get any job herself since the pandemic started.
