Due to the great success in recent years, again in May 2018, 9 talented people were welcomed with a scholarship from the Hanze University Foundation to participate in the 3-week Summer School at Hanze University of Applied Sciences.

Global Health and Quantified Self

Justine Caster (Tanzania), Maureen Asha (Kenya), Paul Mole (Kenya), Marcelle Swanepoel (South Africa) and Sylvia Mokuoane (South Africa) participated in the “Global Health and Quantified Self” summer school. All students have had medical training in the past and the summer school contributes to broadening their horizons and inspiring new possibilities to implement at home. The other participating students came from the United States, Canada and especially other European countries. The participation of the African students also broadened the horizons of the other students by exchanging different experiences.

Doing Business in Europe

David Kibuuka (Uganda), Henry Mugisha (Uganda), Gidion Kamfipo (Tanzania) and Zuhura Khateeb (Tanzania) participated in the “Doing Business in Europe” summer school. Their participation inspired them and others about intercultural communication, the Eurozone, Marketing and other legal and financial obstacles in Europe. It has taught all participants a lot about how we do business in Europe and this experience will help them in their future careers.

We hope that all participants had an unforgettable experience, exchanged knowledge and hopefully meet again in the future!
